HBO NOWis a subscription video streaming service that gives access to content on the app without the need for a cable subscription. With your subscription, you’ll get access to all of their current originals like Succession, Westworld, Barry, and Curb Your Enthusiasm.

This also includes True Detective, as well as their critically acclaimed catalog like The Sopranos, The Wire, Game of Thrones, and Veep. You can subscribe for $14.99 a month either directly from HBO or Roku Premium Subscriptions.

HBO Now Android app movie catalog isn’t as large as Amazon or Netflix. But they do have the deepest catalog when it comes to films that recently appeared in the theaters. Because of deals with Warner Bros., Universal, and Dreamworks.

The app allows you to stream up to three different devices at the same time. The service doesn’t offer offline downloads if you purchase it directly or through Amazon Prime Video Channels or The Roku Channel.

However, if you subscribe using Apple TV Channels, you will be able to download the content offline. And it does not allow access to the service outside the United States.

People who were previously using HBO Go or HBO Now can now access HBO Max with their existing account for no extra cost. There are some exceptions, but for most streaming app users, Max is a free upgrade and replacement for those older services.
