LA Wallet is a digital driving license app for the citizens of the state of Louisiana that enables them to carry their driver’s license on their personal mobile phone within the app.

Local law enforcement as well as other municipal entities (including Louisiana Notaries)-are not required to accept the Digital License as a form of identification at this time.

Residents can even renew their licenses within the app with just a few clicks. Eligible residents can renew their driver’s license within the app so long as they are still in good standing,” says Karen St. Germain, Office of Motor Vehicles Commissioner.

“If it is within 90 days of the license’s expiration date and their license is valid with no suspensions, residents can quickly and easily renew their license within the LA Wallet app.”
