About NYT Games: Word, Number, Logic
NYT Games app includes all the age-old classic games that used to keep its readers busy and engaged for hours.
Each game on the NYT games app allows users to play one daily puzzle at a time. Each puzzle is eagerly awaited and something everyone can discuss on social media.
You can purchase a monthly or annual New York Times Games subscription. As a subscriber, you’ll enjoy the full Wordle experience, Spelling Bee, The Crossword, and more.
The Mini Crossword is a consistent staple of the game roundup, providing readers with a daily, doable challenge.
NYT Games and thier Features
NEW: STRANDS
In this latest game, you will find hidden words and uncover the day’s theme. It’s the word search you know, with a twist.
WORDLE
Play the original Wordle — created by Josh Wardle — in our app. Guess the 5-letter word in 6 tries or less, and analyze your guesses with WordleBot kind of like this game.
SPELLING BEE
Spelling Bee challenges readers to formulate as many words as they can given a circle of letters and a central letter that must appear in each word. The algorithm, however, limits readers from selecting three-letter words in NYT Games.
THE CROSSWORD
Subscribers can play the same daily puzzle that’s printed in The New York Times, in our app. Crosswords increase in difficulty throughout the week.
CONNECTIONS
Group words in NYT Games with a common thread. See if you can do it with four mistakes or fewer.
SUDOKU
Looking for a numbers game, minus the math? Play Sudoku and fill each 3×3 set of boxes with numbers 1 to 9. Play a new puzzle every day in easy, medium, or hard mode.
THE MINI CROSSWORD
The Mini is all the fun of The Crossword, but you can solve it in seconds. These word puzzles don’t increase in difficulty throughout the week and feature simpler clues.
TILES
The NYT Games Tiles lets you unwind while you match elements in the day’s pattern — the key is to make consecutive matches.
LETTER BOXED
To solve a letter-boxed puzzle, players must connect letters around the perimeter of a square by forming as few words as possible that contain all the letters.
STATS NYT Games
Track your progress for The Crossword, Wordle, and Spelling Bee. For The Crossword, monitor your average solve times, see how many puzzles you can solve in a row, and more. Plus follow your streak on Wordle, and track how often you reach each level in Spelling Bee.
